Job Title: Pole Truck Driver

Job Profile and Description:

The Pole Truck Driver drives and operates the company pole truck to location to load, unload, lift and move heavy equipment around the jobsite as required for the job. Company pole trucks have three winches and live poles to lift 20 to 40 tons.

Skills and Specifications:

The ideal candidate must be able to:

  • Work a 24-hour on-call schedule, with scheduled days to work and scheduled days off.
  • Perform a job safety analysis (JSA) with rig crew and all persons on location before work begins.
  • Perform heavy lifting.
  • Work in a potentially hazardous environment which could include exposure to chemicals, gases, cold/heat, noise, dampness, dust, fumes, radiation and heights. Based on this, the right candidate would be able to complete the required company-provided training certifications to work in such an environment.
  • Troubleshoot problems requiring basic mechanical knowledge of the truck and poles.
  • Comply with DOT requirements.

Education and Qualifications:

  • CDL with clean driving record.
  • Strong reading, writing and public speaking skills.
  • Previous oilfield experience is preferred but not required.

Job Title: Nipple Up crew member

Job Profile and Description:

To “nipple up” a blow out preventer (BOP) is the process of tightening large bolts on flanges that connect the BOP to the rest of the rig. A three- or four-man crew completes this task using a combination of hydraulic wrenches and hand-hand wrenches and sledgehammers based on the requirements of the job.

Skills and Specifications:

The ideal candidate must be able to:

Work a 24-hour on-call schedule.

Scale stairs from ground level to the rig floor multiple times during the duration of a test.

Perform heavy-duty lifting and handle heavy hoses and hydraulic equipment.

Work in a potentially hazardous environment which could include exposure to chemicals, gases, cold/heat, noise, dampness, dust, fumes, radiation and heights. Based on this, the right candidate would be able to complete the required company-provided training certifications to work in such an environment.

Work with a team.

Salary:

Crew members are paid hourly based on number of hours spent in the field (ticket time).
Hourly pay is based on experience.

Job Title: Blow Out Preventer (BOP) tester

Job Profile and Description: BOP testers are trained to execute complex 3rd party testing procedures designed to test the integrity of a rig BOP and various valves and connections and other equipment as deemed necessary, and must remain on a rig location until a full test is complete. Testers are required to generate charts and complete paperwork which will then become legal documents.

Skills and Specifications:

The ideal candidate must be able to:

  • Work a 24-hour on-call schedule, with scheduled days to work and scheduled days off.
  • Perform a job safety analysis (JSA) with rig crew and all persons on location before work begins.
  • Scale stairs from ground level to the rig floor multiple times during the duration of a test, and
  • Perform light to medium lifting.
  • Work in a potentially hazardous environment which could include exposure to chemicals, gases, cold/heat, noise, dampness, dust, fumes, radiation and heights. Based on this, the right candidate would be able to complete the required company-provided training certifications to work in such an environment.

Education and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required, with trade school certificates or some completed college coursework preferred.
  • Driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Strong reading, writing and public speaking skills.
  • Previous oilfield experience is preferred but not required.

Annual salary based on experience with weekly bonuses based on number of hours worked in the field (ticket hours).
